1000 Runs in One Innings!

pranav A teenage cricketer in Mumbai scored 1000 runs in one innings and created a grand record. In a cricket match between K.C. Gandhi School and Arya Gokul School for HC Bhandari Cup for under 16, Pranav Dhanwade  broke the 116 year old record. Arthur Collins in 1899 scored 628 runs in one innings. Pranav in his record score got 78 fours and 30 sixers. He made 1009 runs in 363 balls and declared not out. Brian Lara’s score of 501 (not out) in first class cricket paled  into insignificance before Pranav’s score. Cricket pandits say that Pranav’s play reminds one of Sachin and Kambli play for Harish Shield Tournament in 1988. Sachin-Kambli duo made 664 runs in that match.
