11 more killed in Jammu and Kashmir flood, deadliest toll to 100

jammuThe flood waters continued to inundate villages in Jammu and Kashmir. It smashed through homes and blocked access to several localities, including the airport in Srinagar. It even killed 11 more people on Saturday.

The floods fresh deadliest took the toll to over 100, since Independence. Out of the 11 people killed on Saturday, five members of a family were killed and two went missing when their house was buried under a landslide at Rakha Jaganoo.

Dig Gareeb Dass said that five bodies had been recovered and the two missing were being traced. When the house collapsed due to rain at Rakh in Udhampur two kids, aged 3 and 10 were killed and their mother was critically injured.

Four more bodies have been recovered from Thursday’s bus accident. The bus was seated with 63 members of a marriage party which was washed away in Rajouri. So far a total of 29 bodies have been recovered.
