15,000 govt jobs for evacuees

TELANGANA__JOBS1-300x207The KCR government is planning to provide 15,000 government jobs to displaced families who lost their land for projects.  It was also decided to pay compensation to the displaced families who lost lands as per market rates. So far Rs 300 crore has been released for paying compensation. Based on eligibility one job for each family would be given and they could work at project construction and allied departments. Efforts are on to redesign the projects to reduce inter-State disputes and the evacuees. At a review meeting on projects the chief minister expressed his resolve to complete the irrigation projects for supply of water to farmers. The government is also determined to complete the Palamuru lift irrigation project. Kalwakurthy project status also came under discussion.
