Around 2000 children reached for the festival. The kids are representing the states like Chennai, Karnataka, AP, Delhi, Orissa, and of course Telangana. The Children’s Festival, “Balotsav-2014 will showcase children’s talent in Telugu language, its folk songs, traditional dance, and traditions.
The inaugural day of the Balotsav-2014, commenced with a series of talent displayed by the kids. Children from Puspha Vihar School, Delhi became the center of attraction, with amazing performance by their 14 member delegation of Telugu Children. Headmaster of a Government School prepared a CD Telugu Bhasha Shatakam, which was inaugurated along with the Music Album on Kothagudem Balotsav composed by Vengala Bhaskar. Renowed Poet Ande Sri did the honors.
The conveyor of Balotsav V. Ramesh explained that this event started as a town even with compitions like painting, folk and light songs, dances like Bharat Natyam, Kuchipudi, and Poetry etc… This has now become a Traditional Festival as Balotsav.
