2,000 Crore loss for Navy, 340 Crore for VSP

cm-babuThe Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu informed that the Indian Navy has suffered losses of about Rs. 2,000 Crore as the cyclone ‘Hudhud’ wrecked the entire Coastal Andhra, especially Visakhapatnam which is the headquarters of Eastern Naval Command.

Naidu further said that the cyclone had hit the various institutions in the city leaving damages and huge losses.

He further informed that the Visakhatpatnam Steel Plant had faced damages of Rs. 340 Crore and in addition, it has to lose Rs. 40 Crore daily as the production in the plant halted. VSP is the largest public sector enterprise in Andhra Pradesh.

Indian military is in the forefront in the rescue operation in Visakhapatnam but Naidu grieved that the Indian Navy has not come forward for the relief of the people.
