PM assures Geeta, pats Edhi

unnamed (1)Geeta, who had accidentally crossed over into Pakistan many years ago, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. “Welcome back home, Geeta,” said the PM as Geeta embraced him warmly. He assured Geeta
that every effort would be made to trace Geeta’s family and that she will be looked after well. “All of India will take care of you,” the PM said and complimented Bilqis Bano Edhi, Founder, Edhi Foundation, Karachi, for taking care of Geeta with love and affection for so many
years. PM announced Rs 1 crore to Edhi Foundation as a token of appreciation and for the wonderful work that she has been doing. Edhi was born in Bantwa, in Junagadh, Gujarat, and Modi invited her to visit Junagadh along with her family. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj also complimented Bilqis for the love and affection they have
showered on Geeta.
