348th Jayanthi of Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated in Hanamkonda

Guru-Gobind-SinghOn Sunday in Warangl 10th Guru of Sikh community Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj’s 348th birth anniversary was celebrated with religious fervor.

In Hanamkonda at Gurudwara Sahib Nanak Nagar the Sikh community members from Nanded, Bidar, Hyderabad and Karimnagar participated in the celebrations.

Guru Gobind Singh made great sacrifices fighting the then Mughal emperors for protecting Hindu Dharma said by religious heads.

Hafiz Abdur Rahman Chaturvedi who is leader of Hindu-Muslim Unity said the people that all religions were one and people should live as brothers as preached by the Sikh Gurus.
Madan Singh who is a Sikh community elder from Bidar in Karnataka recited Kirtans at the Gurudwara.

A colorful procession which passed through Lashkar Bazar, Public Gardens and Petrol Pump before reaching the Gurudwara in the evening hours by Guru Grandh Sahib.

The community youth presented their displays of fighting prowess with swords in the procession. A community lunch and mass feeding was also organised at the Gurudwara marking the occasion.

Sikh Force of Punjab established the Gurudwara 250 years ago which has been a centre of social and religious activities for them since then.
