349th Birth Feast Day Fete of last Sikh Guru Festivity in HYD

Central-Gurudwara-SaheThe birth feast day celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singhji, the 10th and last Sikh Guru and founder of Khalsa Panth will be laureate from Dec 26 to 28.

On December 26 at around 4.30 pm from Central Gurudwara Saheb, Gowliguda and would pass through Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Marg, Ashok Bazar, Afzalgunj, Siddiamber Bazar, M J Market, Jambagh, Putlibowli and return back to Gurudwara Sahib in the evening said by S Tirlok Singh Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda Prabhandak Committee president. Around 20,000 devotees are taking part in it. Guru Granth Sahebji would be carried on a beautifully decorated vehicle along with “Nishaan Sahebans” (Religious Flags).

The cortege would be marked by the rendering of Shabad Keertans by the Jatha Tera Jatha and Keerthani Jathas of men, women and youths.

The major attraction of the cortege would be the display of “Gatka”, a famous Sikh martial art form and other breathtaking sword exercises all along the procession by Dashmesh Kalgidhar Jatha and other special Gatka parties will also exhibit their Gatka skills. On Dec 28, a “Vishaal Deewan” will be held at Central Gurdwara Saheb, Gowliguda from 10 am to 4 pm on occasion of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s birthday.

On Decr 27, “Amrit Sanchaar” will be organised on the Gurdwara premises at 11 am. Interested persons can enroll their names with Gurdwara Head Granthi.
