Five more non bailable warrants were issued to Vijay Mallya, liquor baron who fled India, with regard to cheque bounce cases. The CFO of KFA- Mr Raghuram was also issued notices by Enforcement Directorate.
The advocate appearing for Mallya told PTI, “Four more NBWs were issued on Tuesday by the 11th Special Magistrate at Erramanjil Courts complex which pertain to the alleged dishonour of cheques of Rs 50 lakh (each) totalling Rs 2 crore.”. He added that he would challenge order in High Court.
The Nampally court on March 10 has already issued a NBW against the absconding businessman.
Meanwhile, the centre is mulling to contact UK government to bring back Mr Mallya who recently said he would return to India now. A letter rogatory may be issued which can force Mr Mallya to come back, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, senior BJP leader said, quoting sources in government.
