5000 Crore for Road Development – KCR

kcrTelangana chief minister k.Chandrasekhar Rao directed his officials to set up a Telangana rural Development Corporation for the benefit and development of rural areas .He added that

an amount of 5000 crore would be spend for the renovation,repair of the old roads and also take care of new roads and it will fall under Panchayat Raj Department.He said that the amount is allocated in this years budget for the purpose stated.

He held a review meeting on saturday in his chambers where his deputy counterpart Dr T Rajaiah and other officials of the state government attended the meeting.Speaking to the crowd the chief minister said he would be concentrating across 20,000 km of the state and an amount of 200 crore would be spend for the same.He said the arrears of 700 crore would also be cleared which is pending..

Added to his speech he also said that the state would spend Rs 250 crore for the repair and renovation of existing culverts and bridges.He directed the officials to invite tenders for the work to be started in a weeks time.He wanted the work orders to be given on the 15th day after calling off the tender so that the work can be started on the 20th day.
