54 killed in plane crash

unnamedAn Indonesian aircraft, ATR 42-300 twin turbo prav, belonging to Trigana Air Service, with 54 people including five crew members aboard crashed in the mountainous region of Papua on Sunday. The aircraft carrying Indonesians lost contact within a short time after takeoff. It was flying between Jayapura’s Sentani Airport and Oksibil, the capital of Papua. Villages informed that the aircraft crashed into Tangok mountain and there was no information whether anyone survived. This is the third plane crash in Indonesia and Trigana Air Service was said to be under ban by Europe. A search plane located the plane’s wreckage on Monday.
