54 new security posts on Arunachal-China border proposed

The Government is planning setting up of 54 new Indo-Tibetan Border Police posts on the contentious Arunachal Pradesh- China border. The new posts will be solar powered and equipped with satellite phones with facilities for additional forces if and when deployed. The Arunchal border is the second longest border for India after the line it shares on the eastern side. The line presently has 142 border posts.
