69 % increase in mining income

ktrTelangana government has disclosed that a record 69 % increase in income has been registered in all minerals barring sand. Even in sand, a 57 % increase has taken place. The increase is very much as per the estimates projected in the annual budget, according to KT Rama Rao, minister for mines.
”In both the quarters of April-September, Rs 357.41 crore through miner minerals and Rs 183.7 crore through sand scenarage has been collected. For the same period last year, Rs 211.4 crore and Rs 117.14 crore has been recorded. This is a good achievement and possible due to streamlining of work” Mr Rao said.
The minister has announced incentives better perforamance and asked Mr Aravind Kumar, secretary to prepare guidelines in this regard.
A video conference will be held shortly on sand issues following formation of new districts, Mr Rao said
He has asked the SIngareni Collaries to pay up the Rs 1000 cr dues immediately and spoke to Mr Sridhar to look into it.
