Team India’s captain In-Charge, Virat Kohli is looking to increase his tally of Seven wins from Eight matches under his leadership. “Most players are my age, i can be on the same page with them easily,” Kohli exudes confidence. Dhoni will definitely be missed, more as a batsman, we can deduce from his answers. The recent string of losses will propel the young team to compete fiercely, he suggests, “I think it’s a great chance when people think that we aren’t in the best of form. None of the guys in this team like losing. They will come out with great intent.” He hasn’t forgotten that India crashed in the last Asia Cup semis to Bangladesh. He would not mind missing out on his memorable century against Pakistan in the last tourney in return for the Asia Cup, he declares.
“Obviously we are here to win the tournament. We haven’t just come here to play one game and go back home, that’s not our aim. Our aim is to win every game that we play. A game against Pakistan is always a hyped game for us, obviously a big pressure match.
“We take every game the same way. You know, the aim is to win the tournament, not just one game, and make sure the people are happy,” he said.
