Auto Expo 2014 is starting today at The New Delhi Pragati Maidan and Greater Noida venues. This time, around 70 new car models would be unveiled and at least 26 of them would be global models. International companies like Jaguar, Harley Davidson, Hyundai and Indian companies like Mahindra, Tata, Maruti among several others will be featuring majorly on the show.
Maruti has already unveiled two new models, Concept Ciaz and SX4 S-Cross at the show. Kenichi Ayukawa, MD and Chief Executive of Maruti Suzuki spoke on the occasion and said that the company”s new manufacturing facility at Rohtak would be “the most advanced facility in Asia, and it would start production from 2016.”
The Indian passenger vehicle market fell by 5.7% to about eighteen lakh vehicles only between April to December 2013. The auto expo, the industry feels would help reviving the sales greatly.
