With an aim to attract youth towards the party, the Aam Aadmi Party has announced the formation of its youth wing. This group has been named ‘AAP Youth Wing’.
Jarnail Singh, Tilak Nagar MLA and Vishvesh Rai, Karol Bagh MLA will head this youth brigade.
Speaking on the occasion, Jarnail Singh said, “A large section of the population falls in the 21-35 years age bracket. There is a need to engage with them and encourage them to be a part of politics”.
The Aam Aadmi Pary already has a Students’ wing called Chatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS).
“The organisation will have district presidents, assembly heads, ward level co-ordinators. We also plan to expand the structure to the booth level,” Singh said.
“The formal launch of the AAP Youth Wing will take place on the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh (September 27). We will hold events, such as blood donation camps, to reach out to the youth,” he added.
