AAP to contest in TN polls

kejriwal 66After Haryana, the Aam Aadmi Party sets its eyes on Tamil Nadu and in all likelihood, the party would contest the upcoming Assembly election in the southern state. It may go to polls as part of the People’s Welfare Front that includes Vaiko-led MDMK and Left parties.

AAP leader Somnath Bharti, has already been in Chennai and held confabulations with Vaiko and the left leaders. ‘ we would contest the polls, depending on our strength and the availability of suitable candidates, he said.

The other parties in the People’s Welfare Front include VCK headed by Thiruma Valavin, CPI and CPI(M). There may not be any alliance with the frontline political parties i.e. DMK, AIADMK, Congress or BJP, Somnath Bharati said.
