Abolishing 500 and 1000 currency notes will help eradicating corruption: Chandrababu Naidu

Abolishing-500-and-1000-curN Chandrababu Naidu, while launching ‘Jan Dhan Yojana’ expressed his favour for abondoning the currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000. He said this move will help in reducing corruption and poverty.
He gave the example of United State that uses only 2 percent of paper currency notes while Australia uses only 3 percent.
Mr Naidu said that the new scheme of bank accounts to all will also be helpful in eradicating poverty and the poor people would get banking services at their door steps.
He also announced that old-age pension of Rs 1,000 would be credited to the bank accounts from October 2.
Along with Deputy CM, the other state officials, bureaucrats, bankers, MLA’s and MLC’s were present at the function.
