ABVP sweeps Delhi University elections

abvpThe students wing of the ruling BJP, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has sweeped the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections 2014.

ABVP has bagged Presedent, Vice President, Secretary and Jouint Secretary posts.

The Students wing of the Cogress, National Students Union of India (NSUI) failed to open its account.

ABVP’s Mohit Nagar has been elected as the president of DUSU. Kanika Shekhawat elected as DUSU secretary. Parvesh Malik elected Vice President while Ashutosh won the joint secretary post in DUSU.

“This is due to the hard work done by the members of ABVP in Delhi University (DU). This is the victory of ABVP and not just mine,” said one of the winning candidates.

The polling took place on Friday in which 42% of the students cast their franchise.
