Two others may also be booked along with Naidu. Meanwhile, Opposition demanded that Naidu be made A 1 in the case. But Reventh was made A 1 by the ACB. The case raised political dust after the 2-day interrogation by the ACB. On the second day of interrogation of TDP MLA Reventh Reddy by the ACB, audio tapes revealed that the whole of boss of the note for vote scandal is AP chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who spoke to nominated MLA Stephenson. Tapes further revealed, based on the voice, that Naidu spoke to Steplhenson on phone regarding the cash deal and gave an assurance on what Reventh told about the deal.
ACB is expected to spell out today who had actually arranged Rs 50 lakhs, given by Reventh. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has met the Governor E S L Narasimhan even as the ACB interrogation was going on. Naidu and home minister also had a meeting with the top cops of AP. Hot discussions are said to be going on over the topic. ACB has concluded that Reventh has managed a deal for Rs 5 crore. Reddy was caught red-handed when he was handing over Rs 50 lakhs to nominated Anglo-Indian MLA Stephenson to vote for the TDP candidate. Reddy was arrested before the MLC polls.
