Actor Jagapathi Babu’s Father Died at 82

Jagapathi-Babu's-FatherV.B Rajendra Prasad who was a Popular Telugu filmmaker, on Monday 82 year old died who was undergoing treatment in a private hospital here for age-related ailments, family sources said.

In Gudivada Rajendra Prasad Nov 4, 1932, was born and started his career as a producer.

Under the banner Jagapati Arts he produced Telugu films such as “Aatma Balam”, “Aradhana” and “Antastulu” .

In 1971, Prasad made his directorial debut with late actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao-starrer “Dasara Bullodu”, which he also produced.

Some of his other directed films include “Bangaru Babu”, “Pichimaraju” and “Ramakrishnulu”.

Prasad also directed a few Hindi films such as “Raaste Pyaar Ke” and “Bekaraar”.

Prasad has three sons. One of his sons is popular actor Jagapathi Babu and lived with his wife. He used to spent the last few years of his life in the temple he owns here.
