Advani will now head ‘Ethics Committee’ of Lok Sabha

AdvaniFormer Deputy-Prime Minister of India, and BJP’s veteran stalwart Lal Krishna Advani has been appointed as the chairman of the prestigious Ethics Committee of Lok Sabha.

The speaker of Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan made the announcement today.

Advani will preceed Manikrao Gavit of Congress as the chairman.

The committee includes A Arunmozhithevan, Ninong Ering, Sher Singh Ghubaya, Hemant Tukaram Godse, Pralhad Joshi, Bhagatsingh Koshyari, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Bhartruhari Mahtab, Kariya Munda, Jayshreeben Patel, Malla Reddy, Sumedhanand Saraswati and Bhola Singh as members.

Ethics committee probes into every complaint relating to unethical conduct of a member referred to it. It can also freely takeup any issue of ethical misconduct of any member of Lok Sabha.
