Afghanistan is voting to elect their president

The Afghanistan is voting today to select their new president ahead of complete US troops withdrawal. This will be the first time the country will have an elected president. Eight candidates are contesting as Hamid Karzai is constitutionally barred from the elections as he has completed his two terms, the maximum allowed. Several Islamist groups, Taliban have banned the elections, as about four lakh police force is watching over the process.
