Albert Wood Fox who was in Louisiana jail for 43 year for aiding his two friends to kill a jail guard was released at the age 69. When his friends Robert King and Herman Wallace stabbed a jail guard in 1972, Fox held the jail guard’s hands from behind. King and Wallace were released earlier and King died of cancer two days after his release. Fox says that he was kept in solitary confinement all these years as he did not admit his guilt, but now due to increasing age and ill health, he confessed to his crime of aiding the murder. Hence released.
