The Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao, after his successful first foreign trip to Singapore and Malaysia, has said that a team of officials will visit the said nations to study the success of the two countries.
While speaking to the senior leaders of TRS, Mr Rao briefed his trip, saying, “They felt Telangana has huge scope for industrialisation and growth in service sectors. I have studied development in various sectors in Singapore and the experience will be used for the reconstruction of Telangana”.
Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, ministers T. Harish Rao, P. Srinivas Reddy, Jogu Ramanna, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other senior party leaders were present.
KCR continued, “Singapore is a clean and green city. I did not find litter or even a single waste piece of paper anywhere. Facing all odds, the country rose from a tiny village to a world economic super power. Interestingly, for a population of 53 lakh, Singapore receives 5.3 crore tourists annually while Malaysia gets 2.7 crore tourists annually”.
