After TN, NDA govt. faces up with Jammu & Kashmir

Minister of State, PMO Jitendra Singh has stirred a controversy by mentioning that process to repeal Article 370 which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir, has already been initiated by the NDA government. J&K CM Omar Abdullah aired critical comments on the statement on twitter immediately. He threatened that J&K may not remain in India if such steps are taken.

Now RSS has jumped into the discussion and Ram Madhav has said that J&K is not Omar’s parental estate and the state is and will remain part of India forever.

PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti Sayeed too has released a statement and asked the PM to “rein in disruptive voices in the government from airing views on Art. 370.”

Minister Jitendra Singh is also from Jammu and Kashmir, he had defeated Congress heavyweight Ghulam Nabi Azad from Uddhampur seat. His brother Devender Singh is National Conference Party’s Jammu President and was adviser to Omar Abdullah. Jitender Singh has also pointed out that they have won half seats from J&K which shows that they have more than 50% support in the region. He has also spoken about another controversial issue, CBI, which he will oversee as the minister of DoPT. He has declared that the CBI will be given enough independence to carry out its duties without any pressure and interference.

As the discussion process with Pakistan has already been initiated by the new PM, the contentious issue of J&K will also be dealt with decisively, as per the recent events.
