The fresh notification by the former Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) Pratyush Sinha committee said that, “it may be noted by all MoS (Member of Service) that the allocation principles already approved by the competent authority and displayed on the DoPT website on 22-08-2014 will remain unchanged”.
The official said that, “if there is no change in the guidelines, where is the chance of altering cadres already decided based on the guidelines? That means the Sinha committee has committed an error earlier which calls for issuance of new guidelines”.
Another official who was allotted Telangana cadre said the guidelines issued in August gave three-month time to officers for raising their objections on cadre allocation. But, the new notification says the objections should be raised before October 25th.
The official added that, “It creates a lot of confusion as to which one to follow. The notification that was issued in August or the latest”.
