Alia Bhatt: Shahid Was my Childhood Crush

Alia-Bhatt-ShahidThere are very few lucky actresses in the industry like Sonam Kapoor who share screen space with her childhood crush Salman Khan. Now one luckier actress to join the bandwagon is Alia Bhatt who bagged roles opposite Shahid Kapoor in Shaandaar and Udta Punjab. When Shahid Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with Ishq Vishk, like many teenagers in 2003, the actress also fell for him.

Alia is sharing screen space with Shahid after 12 years down the line. She speaks about her experience working with the actor.

She said, “I was more nervous about the film than about working with Shahid. It was great fun working with him. Otherwise I wouldn’t be doing another film with him. Of course Shahid has 11 years’ more experience than me. I was aware of that. And I love observing my co-actors. Shahid is very helpful on the sets.”

Alia reminisces the days when she first saw Ishq Vishk and she was quite impressed by him.

She further said, “It was a childhood crush. I was 10 when I saw Ishq Vishq and for an actor to be so good in those days meant a lot to an impressionable girl like me. I thoroughly enjoyed my shooting. It was my longest stint outside India. We were shooting in Leeds and Poland for 45 days. But it was amazing.”

She also shared pictures on her Instagram account during the shooting of Shaandaar with Shahid.

Currently the two are shooting for Udta Punjab by Abhishek Chaubey.
