Amit Shah has took over as the national president of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. He has taken charge in the National Council in New Delhi. Top leaders of the party across the nation witnessed the event. The council is also attended by PM Narendra Modi, Veteran leader LK Advani, Home Minister Raj Nath Singh and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley
“Workers are the strength of the party. The people’s aspirations are in sync with the BJP,” said Amit Shah.
The National Council is one day meet of top BJP leaders from across the country, being held today at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, which will be concluded after PM Modi’s speech.
This session will also adopt the political resolution that will spotlight on the political and economic issues.
Amit Shah’s started his journey with RSS’s students wing ABVP in 1983. He joined BJP in 1986. His active political career began in 1997 when he won Sarkhej Assembly constituency in a bye-election, which he also won three times later. He is accused of plotting a fake encounter when he was the home minister of Gujarat in 2010.
