Renault company has launched a small car in the Chennai market in competition with Hyundai Iyan and Maruthi companies. The French company has planned to capture a majority share in the small car market.
A new model Quid has been released by the company with an intention to capture the hearts of vehicle lovers who think of a low price and more mileage. Its main features are 800 cc petrol engine, 20 to 22 km per litre among others. The company also said that load capacity is also best to accommodate five people.
Digital instruments control, large digital speedo meter, digital fuel indicator are arranged in the dash board. On top of all is the superb 7-inch touch screen blue tooth media navigation system. It has been designed for a new look with front end, grill, head lamps.
AIR BAG SAFETY
Air bag safety feature is another added attraction in the model, which is expected to magnetize customers with some features of Duster, Lodge SUV. The price of the car is set up between Rs 3 and Rs 4 lakhs as it was made to compete with Maruti and Hyundai cars, Maruti Suzuki costs Rs 3.5 lakhs while Hyundai Iyan costs Rs 3 to Rs 4 lakhs.
The car will penetrate into the market in view of the festive season in three to four months. The Renault company fixed a target of five percent share out of 25 percent demand in the small car market besides materializing the dreams of middle classes to roam in cars.
