The state government of Telangana has directed the banks to seize the joint accounts held by both the states as the Andhra Pradesh allegedly transferred labour department funds amounting to over 600 Crore without the consent of Telangana. The T-gov also asked the bankers to not to accept or approve any funds transfer from these accounts without informing government authorities.
Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma and DGP Anurag Sharma met the Governor ESL Narsimhan at Raj Bhavan on Friday to bring the issue in his notice, who also is the Governor of Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao asked the CS and DGP to lodge a complaint with Governor.
KCR also directed the officials of Police, CMO and Finance department to check out for options to get back the money from AP.
An emergency meeting of Bankers was called upon on Friday by the Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma in which he issued orders to seize joint bank accounts between the two states.
