AP seeks permission for delimitation and 50 more constituencies

cm-babuAP government has sought Centre’s nod for delimitation to add up fifty more constituencies to the existing 175.  The matter has come up for discussion between Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Delhi today. He met Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier and discussed the possibility of getting SCS (special category status) and also some industrial incentives. “We have also sought special package as per the assurances given in the Reorganization Act. I urged the PM to give us a grant of Rs 4000 crore for the construction of capital in 2016-17. The total revenue deficit is Rs 16,078 crore and I made a plea to him to bear the part of it this year and the remaining in FY 2017-18. I made a repeated request to grant us special category status” Chief Minister Naidu told a media meet after the meetings.
