In a step towards taking away nearly 25,000 employees having Andhra roots working in Hyderabad –to the new state, a temporary secretariat has been started at Velagapudi in Guntur district today. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu started the functioning of new secretariat which he christened as “AP Government’s Transitional Headquarters” at 4:01 AM this morning amid chanting of slokas. He performed Ganapathi homam, Visvaksena Puja and sudarshana yagam at the newly-constructed building. Two rooms were marked for the Chief Minister in the fourth floor.
