The chief secretaries of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will meet Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami on November 28 to find solutions to the ongoing differences between two states on several issues like sharing of funds, employees, water, power and others. The decision was taken by the two chief secretaries, IYR Krishna Rao of Andhra Pradesh and Rajiv Sharma of Telangana, who met on Friday. They decided to meet the Union Home Secretary soon after the conclusion of budget session of Telangana Assembly.
The sharing of funds is a critical issue with Telangana government while sharing of water is vital for Andhra Pradesh.
KCR, Chief Minister had recently said, “Though the Centre is releasing money to Telangana state, the funds are being deposited in AP’s account. These teething troubles will be solved soon”.
The other things that are likely to be discussed are, division of All India Services cadre, allocation of state-cadre employees by the CR Kamalanathan Committee, water-sharing and power-sharing row, apportion of debts between the two states and division of various corporations.
