Apple-Digital India tie-up

unnamed (2)Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple Inc., who said India has a special place for the company, as Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple Inc., went to India for inspiration. Discussions also focused on how Apple Inc. could be a partner in the Digital India initiative. Modi visited Tesla Motors and was received by the CEO Elon
Musk, who explained innovations done by the company to the PM. Renewable energy, Tesla’s battery technology and  innovations in energy storage figured in the discussions between PM and Elon. He also met employees of Indian origin working at Tesla. Earlier, Prime Minister
arrived in San Jose, California to an enthusiastic reception by the Indian American community. He met various members of the Indian community.
