The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSTRC) will be divided by the month-end. They had followed win-win formula for bifurcation of APSTRC .The officials IYR Krishna Rao and TS counterpart Rajiv Sharma conducted meetings to take the decision.
Anyways the assets and liabilities would be divided based on the recommendations of the Sheila Bhide committee and division of employees would take place as per the modalities set by Kamalanathan committee.
Employees and workers union of Telangana have reportedly said that reservation against the Bus Bhavan, RTC Hospital, Miyapur Bus Building Unit (BBU). According to the union (TMU) secretary and Telangana employees are reconciled that it would be common headquarter for the first ten years, as per the Bifurcations act.
After this division there will be 8000 new jobs and 65 direct jobs and 20 to 30 indirect jobs as per the depot.
APSRTC Executive Director M Ravinder said, “It is a fact that major source of income for RTC accrues from interstate hi-tech and deluxe buses. The TSRTC will get the income from interstate services only after bifurcation,” they said. “Although a separate website is being maintained for TSRTC bookings, the corporation is functioning as a single entity.”
