The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is in the mood to hike the fares as soon as the bifurcation of the corporation takes place. The APSRTC is looking forward to repair the losses it had to incur during the agitation in the last five years.
J Purnachandra Rao, Managing Director of APSRTC, said while interacting with the media, the proposed hike would not be a burden on the people as the quality of services provided will be increased.
He said that the people should share the burden to help the world’s best transport PSU survive.
He also informed that the RTC would construct Bus Bhavan in Vijayawada, for which they have identified the lands at Vidyadharapuram and Gannavaram.
