Army Chief Cancels Bhutan Trip to Monitor Situation at Indo-Chinese Border
The Army Chief General Dalbir Singh has called off his visit to neighbouring Bhutan as the tension prevails at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Chumar area between Indian and Chinese troops.
General Singh was scheduled to visit Thimpu on Sunday evening for a three-day visit but now he will stay at Delhi to monitor the situation at the border.
Troops from China have been camping in the Chumar area inside on the wrong side of Line of Actual Control.
The officials have informed that the situation is under control right now Indian troops have occupied a dominating position after Chinese troops came into a section of disputed area and set up camp.
