Army Chief in Kashmir, India braces for terror strikes

untitled-6Army Chief General Dalbir Suhag has reached northern command in Udhampur to assess the situation along LoC following the lethal attack on terror launch pads by Indian paras early on Thursday. The parachute teams have infact started their journey from Udhampur base itself and they were air-dropped at LoC.

Gen Dalbir has met the senior military personnel including Lt Gen DS Hooda, commander of Northern force and the DGMO Ranbir Singh and got a first hand info on the strike and also reviewed the situation for a possible counter attack.

Lt Gen DS Hooda briefed him about high security preparedness on line on control in Kashmir as well as in Jammu. Gen Dalbir will, later in the day, visit western command, Chandigarh, where Lt Gen Surinder Singh brief him about border situation in Punjab and preparedness, according to reports.
