Assam will Seek CBI Probe in Border Conflict: Gogoi

V6In the conflict of Assam-Nagaland border, the state government of Assam would go for a CBI enquiry, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said on Saturday.

Mr. Gogoi Said, “I have ordered for a CBI probe into the recent happenings along the Assam-Nagaland border. I have also ordered for a judicial probe in case matters go out of hand”.

A meeting was held on Friday with a joint delegation of seven organisations and chaired by Mr. Gogoi, where the CM announced to go for the CBI probe to find the truth.

The CM also aimed to restore peace in the areas under conflict as the first priority, and to send back displace people to their homes.

Mr. Gogoi also said the delegation that the government will institute probe at additional secretary level and judicial enquiry in the case to find out the truth, including police immoderation, if any.
