Ayurvedic drug for diabetes: Cost just Rs 5

sugar AyurvedaIt’s sweet news for diabetic patients. The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has launched a scientifically validated ayurvedic drug (BGR-34) for type II diabetes. It can control sugar levels as well as limiting the harmful effects of other drugs, according to Dr AKS Rawat, senior scientist. This was jointly developed by researchers from National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) and the Central Institute for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP). The Blood Glucose Regulator- BGR-34 was made up of f extracts from six herbs including daruharidra (berberis aristata), giloy (tinospora cordifolia), vijayasar (pterocarpus marsupium), gudmar (gymnema sylvestre), majeeth (rubia cordifoila) and methika (trigonella foenumgraecum).
