Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu sang the same old song again in Mahabubnagar. He claimed at the public meeting that he had set the tone for setting up the modern growth engine, development and progress in united AP while asserting that he stood for Telangana development. “I had done everything, “said Naidu. He claimed an upper hand though fell headlong. He warned that his party would give a fitting lesson to those trying to weaken his party indirectly referring to MLAs deserting TDP. Leaders would emerge in the party even if the party activists left, he said.
Speaking in Palamur, Mahabubnagar, he tried to revive Telugu sentiment stating that Telugus were always one though two States were formed. He attempted to clarify what he had said in AP that he had no intention to unite Telugu States geographically. He also made clear that TDP was the first to have agreed for bifurcation while resenting TRS operation attraction. He also tried to give a boost to the party which is being deserted by leaders and legislators.
MRPS men arrested
MRPS workers were arrested when they resorted to violence at the public meeting addressed by Naidu. The police resorted to lathi-charge and tried to drive away the MRPS men who raised slogans against Chandrababu. The MRPS cadre turned violent demanding SC-ST categorisation. They hurled chairs openly at the public meeting registering their protest. TDP leaders criticised the TRS and resolved to stop the migration from their party. They said that TRS CM did not keep up the promises made. The TDP cadre had already begun preparations for organising the mahanadu in May.
