Soon after Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya assumed office as a Union Minister of State in Modi government, he resumed his other responsibility to act as a mediator between the state and the central governments. Senior BJP leader offered to fix a meeting between Narendra Modi and K Chandrasekhara Rao to seek a solution to the ongoing power crisis in the state.
Mr. Dattatreya promised KCR government for the support from the Centre for his ambitious plans to develop Hyderabad as an internationally smart city free of slums. He also promised to help the state in cleaning Hussainsagar.
Mr. Dattatreya announced to establish a medical college attached to ESI hospital at Sanathnagar spending Rs. 435 Crore.
Mr. Dattatreya said, “Telangana is facing power problems. There is a problem in sharing river water. I will speak to the PM and arrange a meeting between the PM and the CM to sort out issues with AP. I will also take up the river water issue with the Union water resources minister Uma Bharati”.
“I am very happy that KCR garu is the first Chief Minister and I the first Union Minister from the new Telangana state”, said the MP.
“I will protect the rights of workers and ensure that factories and organisations implement labour laws strictly”, added Dattatreya.
