On the day when the nation was busy paying tribute to the martyred hero of Indian independence, Bhagat Singh, his alone surviving sibling Prakash Kaur left for the eternal life on Sunday.
Prakash Kaur, 93, breathed her last in Brampton, Canada on September 28; 107th birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Prakash Kaur had been settled in Canada since 1980 and had been living with her son. She was bed-ridden since six years due to an attack of paralysis.
“She passed away six hours ago, around 4 in the afternoon on September 28,” said her son Rupinder Singh.
She was only twelve when her elder brother was hanged by the British authorities in Lahor Jail.
Her son also informed that the last procession of his mother will be taken on coming Sunday.
