Bhumata Brigade’s Activists held Enroute to Trimbakeswar

Bhumata-Brigade's-ActivistsRepeating Shani Singanapur episode, Maharashtra police have detained nearly 175 activists belonging to Bhumata Brigade, who has been fighting to end gender discrimination inside the sanctum sanctorum of mainline temples- enroute to Trimbakeswar temple in Nashik, Maharashtra. The women led by Trupti Desai have tried invain to go further as the police maintained the security has been stepped up in view of the terror alert. But Tripti argued why her brigade alone is being disallowed. She demanded Chief minister’s intervention. The group on January 26 made a forceful attempt breach a ban at Shani Shinganapur temple in Ahmednagar district and decided to renew their agitation today.
