A GHMC bill collector was found to have amassed great wealth- to the tune of over three crores, it was reported today. During the search operation by Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths into the properties of the Mr Narsimha Reddy, the bill collector, they have unearthed documents relating to five houses in the city, four flats in Nanganur, 31 acres of agricultural land. They have also found 90 tolas of gold, five kilos of silver and Rs 16 lakhs cash in ten accounts.
The moment he saw the officers of ACB, Narsimha Reddy, working in the commercial area of Abids, reportedly has run into a washroom and tried to evade them. He even threatened to end life if they resort to search the house for illegal assets.
