BJP, Congress war of Words

As the news of BJP Chief Raj Nath Singh wooing muslims was coming out, key muslim leader of Congress, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid resorted to severe use of words on Narendra Modi. Khurshid, speaking at a rally in the Capital said that the so called powerful man of BJP, Modi was not strong enough to take decisive action during the trying times of Gujarat riots. “We don’t accuse you of killing people… Hamara aarop hai ki tum ‘napunsak'(impotent) ho. (Our accusation is that you are impotent). You couldn’t stop the killers,” he added.

BJP took strong objection to such abusive words against its main leader. One BJP leader called it ‘debasement of Politics.’ Another BJP leader, Yatin Ojha has said “I really feel pity on them rather than commenting. I think he (Salman Khurshid) has lost his mental balance. Such comments are never welcome. This shows their frustration.”

The environment is sure to heat up more and more as the elections are approaching.
