BJP rejects Uddhav’s offer, asks ally not to use media for ‘offers’

Vinod-TawdeResponding on the open offer of Shiv Sena proposing 119 seats for the party, the BJP on Sunday rejected the proposal and hit out at its old ally for making offers through media.

BJP asked Shiv Sena to re-think on the offer. BJP also suggested sorting out the issue through discussion and not through media.

BJP also took the moment to remind Shiv Sena of ‘sacrifices’ the party has given in the past to save the friendship.

“You don’t discuss these things through media; these things are discussed face to face. BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is very old and should be taken forward. And if alliance needs to be maintained there is no last formula”, said BJP leader Vinod Tawde.

Earlier in the day, Uddhav Thackeray had suggested BJP to contest from 119 seats out of 288 in the state. Uddhav also reminded Modi about Balasaheb Thackeray’s support to him after Gujarat riots.
