BJP and Shiv Sena, were very old Allies till the recent elections in Maharashtra. Both the parties disagreed on seat sharing basis and decided to go separate ways, and contested the Maharashtra elections on their own. Surprisingly both did well with reference to their past performances. BJP and Shiv Sena are now appreciating their decisions.
BJP however has the maximum seats, and is confident of forming their Government in Maharashtra. NCP hinted of abstaining, which will automatically help the BJP to form the Government.
Now the focus is on Shiv Sena. Neelam Gorhe told the reporters last night, “Discussions are on within the parth. Uddhavji will take a final call (on wheather to join the BJP-led Ministry). This meeting was attended by Senior party leaders Subhash Desai, Anil Desai, Sanjay Raut, Vinayak Raut, and other. The BJP on the other had said the discussion with Shiv Sena in this regards will only happen after Friday’s swearing-in ceremony.
Another interesting statement from BJP General Secretary JP Nadda, “we want that Sena come with us. It is our desire. A positive result will emerge soon.
