Both States under Meetings on Water Sharing

CMsHyderabad: The CMs of both states held a meeting over the issue of sharing water of Nagarjuna Sagar dam following an unsavoury incident among the police. They both met in the presence of governor at Raj Bhavan.This was held after the tension prevailed at dam as both the states engaged in a fight at the site. The incident took place when both sides failed to reach an understanding on release of water for irrigation purpose.

The officials are taking time to decide on the issue meanwhile the incident took place. As AP already used the water as harish said. However the Telangana government is ready to accommodative in releasing the water and the AP government should decide the amount it needs.

The AP government indulging in “provocative” actions. Irrigation minister of AP already stated that they have given letter on this issue to harish.And AP is utilising water as per project-wise allocations made by Bachawat award. Minister alleged that shopping of water by the state government badly hit crops in Guntur and Prakasam of AP state.
